The Water Platform Meeting Colombia aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, experiences and insights on collaborations between the Netherlands and Colombia in water management. The agenda includes presentations on current and upcoming projects, events and opportunities for business and subsidies. At the end of the event there are networking drinks to meet fellow professionals that are active or are interested to work in the Dutch-Colombian water sector.

Robert Proos, Senior Programme Advisor at Partners for Water and Water as Leverage – Netherlands Enterprise Agency, will give a brief overview of the activities, projects and upcoming opportunities that are part of the bilateral cooperation through the Partners for Water programme.

Panel discussion: Bridging Borders: Insights for Entering Colombia’s Water Market

During this panel discussion we will explore new opportunities from delta collaboration and the Dutch water sector’s active role in Colombia, offering practical insights and strategies for entering the Colombian market. Panelists are representatives from Arcadis, Felixx Landscape Architects and Planners, Future Water, and Deltares who will share real-world experiences in launching sustainable water projects, highlighting key opportunities, challenges, and notable results.

Introducing innovative solutions to improve water conditions abroad, in collaboration with local partners, can be challenging. A subsidy can provide support to overcome these obstacles.

Hugo de Vries, Project Advisor at Partners for Water, Netherlands Enterprise Agency, will share valuable insights on how the Partners for Water subsidy has helped others to demonstrate innovative solutions and how it can assist you.

Break-out sessions: Four Pillars of Movement: Building Resilient Water Solutions in Colombia

In this interactive break-out session, we will explore the four pillars of the Partners for Water programme: policy partnership, implementation support (including Integrated Water Resources Management), resilient cities and deltas, and the water-biodiversity-food nexus. This collaborative space invites you to discuss how these initiatives support sustainable water management in Colombia.
