Lasting health change in Africa: a shared ambition
Health is a key priority in the new Dutch foreign policy framework, and for Amref Health Africa, it has been at the heart of its mission since 1957. Over the years, Amref has worked closely with Dutch partners to create real impact on the ground. Lasting health is about the health sector, but also includes water and food as preconditions for a healthy life.
We are pleased to invite you to our ‘bring your own lunch’ & workshop at 17 July. We start with a session where Nanneke Nix and Eduard Holtz, from Amref Health Africa – The Netherlands, will share concrete, African-led examples from the field. They will present Amref’s strategy and demonstrate how partnerships with Dutch stakeholders – including the private sector, NGOs, and academia – contribute to both Amref’s vision and the Dutch government’s goals.
An interactive workshop will follow, where we will explore key dilemmas that arise in multi-stakeholder collaboration. For example:
- How do we balance inclusion with market-based approaches?
- How do we define success? By numbers reached, or long-term impact?
Together with Liliane Geerling from the Climate and Water Team and other colleagues from the RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency), we will reflect on these issues in a plenary discussion.
Join us for a thought-provoking session on aligning strategies, building partnerships, and achieving lasting change. If you are not able to join us in Utrecht you can also join our event online. Please register as well to receive the online event link.
